Remember When

Jake was the star of another family reunion. This particular event has been held at the same small-town church since I was Jake's age. Therefore, Jake got to share in some of the attractions that have entertained generations (biggest of all, the creek nearby). New this year was an organized water balloon toss. He enjoyed that, too.

15 Month Check-up

Jake had this 15 month check-up this week. There is definitely nothing wrong with his memory as he started screaming as soon as we entered the exam room. Despite all of his noise, he was measured at 32 inches long and 25 pounds heavy. He has another tooth starting to cut through which also seemed to cause an ear infection. The doctor was very impressed with his verbal skills and coordination. He did his best to show off while still clinging to Mom. To my surprise, he also kept the "uh-ohs" to a minimum.
