Dear Santa,

It was wonderful to see you again. Jacob and Jenna have been relatively good this year...it all depends on who you ask (right, Wrigley?)

Jacob was very excited to see you and explain exactly what he would like for Christmas. On the other hand, I am sorry that Jenna screamed at you and refused to sit on your lap or even come near you.

Anyway, I hope you have a very Merry Christmas and safe travels!! Give our best to the Mrs!

All in Good Fun

Below are two videos of the fun we have on a daily basis.

The first is Jacob and Jenna "sharing" the Kindle Fire to play a game. I can't blame him for wanting to sock her! I'm just glad he knows better.

The second is Jenna mooing. It is her new thing. She moos for no reason whatsoever. My favorite part of that video is that we were eating and having venison for dinner (not beef).

Thanksgiving Weekend

Happy Thanksgiving to all! I have so so much to be thankful for this year and this weekend is no exception.

• The holiday started with wonderful friends that came to play games on Wednesday night. I am thankful for the oppportunity to have fun with great people.
• We didn't have family dinner planned until Friday. I am thankful to have the extra day to prepare.
• Unfortunately, both kids got colds and fevers on Thursday. I am thankful that they are feeling better today.
• New this year, I had to work on Friday. I am thankful to have a job that I love that supports my family.
• Friday night, we headed to Grandma and Grandpa's to celebrate with the people we love but don't get to see often enough. I am thankful for those who shared the table with us.
• Saturday and Sunday were spent quietly at home while everyone mended from their cold. It makes me sad that we didn't get home to see my family as planned. However, we took the opportunity to get the Christmas tree up and decorated. I am thankful for the special holiday memories that I am building with my children.

Mostly, I am thankful for all of those that have a special place in their hearts for my little family. Especially those that take the time to follow this blog and the little milestones in our lives. We love you all! Happy Thanksgiving and looking forward to a Merry Christmas!

We went home for an impromptu family fish fry. The food was amazing. Jake fell in love with my cousin's Powerwheels Jeep. He even let Jenna ride along.

 

 

Trick-or-Treat with My Sweets

Here is Jake the Fireman and his Dalmation puppy Jenna. They spent the evening cruising the neighborhood in their "fire wagon" keeping everyone safe. The residents were so grateful that they filled Jake and Jenna's bag/bucket with yummy treats. The crew of the fire wagon got kinda cold, but they made sure to check every house.
